Future Harvest
What is Future Harvest?
Future Harvest helps the next generation of European farmers build resilient, regenerative and profitable farms. Eye For Nature is proud to be the Dutch partner of this European programme, bringing regenerative agriculture training to young farmers in the Netherlands.
Future Harvest is a European training programme for young and future farmers. Participants develop practical skills in regenerative agriculture, digitalisation, business and entrepreneurship — everything needed to run a farm that is both sustainable and profitable. The programme aims to reach 900 young farmers across Europe by 2026.
Why Europe needs Future Harvest
Only around 11% of farm managers in the EU are younger than 40. The next generation of farmers faces real barriers:
- Limited access to affordable land and financing
- Complex sustainability and regulatory requirements
- A gap between agricultural innovation and its application on the farm
- Limited peer networks and tailored advice
Future Harvest exists to remove these barriers — with training, mentorship and a strong network of fellow farmers.
A European programme, delivered locally
Future Harvest runs in France, Spain, the Netherlands, Turkey and Poland. Each country has local partners who know the land, the language and the people.
In the Netherlands, the programme is delivered by Eye For Nature together with The Sustainable Smallholder.
Who we work with
The programme is coordinated by EIT Food and supported by the PepsiCo Foundation as funder and strategic advisor.
