Heel Holland Hiked

Heel Holland Hiked is a walking initiative in the Netherlands that invites people (especially young people!) to put on their hiking boots and walk together along marked routes across the country. The project uses long-distance walking as a way to spark meaningful conversations and raise awareness about how our relationship with nature is changing and how that affects mental health and wellbeing.

Participants can join for a day or more, meet the team along the route, and share their thoughts and ideas on topics like climate change, nature connection, and wellbeing. By walking together and engaging with people in towns and villages along the way, the initiative aims to listen to young voices and bring their perspectives into broader conversations.

The project highlights community participation, nature exploration, and dialogue; creating space for reflection, connection, and shared stories while walking through the Dutch landscape.
