MDT Buitenkans
Do you feel the need for some space for yourself? Take this opportunity (buitenkans!) to grow within your school hours, but beyond the classroom walls. Enjoy the calming power of nature, meet new people, and focus on your personal development. With the nature program MDT Buitenkans, you’ll discover what nature can mean to you; and what you can do for nature!
In short
During MDT Buitenkans, you’ll take part in a diverse nature-based program tailored to your personal goals. You’ll go on a three-day nature retreat at a unique location surrounded by nature, and get the chance to turn your green vision into action at an organization or company. It’s also possible to earn study credits or count the program toward your internship hours.

How it works
You’ll start the program with an intake meeting with your coach. Together, you’ll explore the question “What can nature mean to me?” and set a personal goal. You’ll dive deeper into this during the three-day nature retreat and put it into practice at a hands-on green placement. These placements are part of major national nature initiatives like NL2120 and Werklandschappen van de toekomst, focusing on nature as a solution. Throughout the program, you’ll stay in touch with your coach. At the end, you’ll celebrate the completion of the program together with other participants. If you’d like to invest more time in MDT Buitenkans, you can join the extended ‘plus track’ in consultation with your coach.
